We didn't know what to expect as this was a last minute thing... We thoroughly enjoyed it.. the sets, the background sounds, the actors. It was all just psychologically terrifying because you never knew what was near your or behind you and the disorientation hightens this !! My only recommendation is to add one or two more actors in the scare scenes... The wait to get into the maze was a little bit long but it was honestly worth it.

I’d never gone before and didn’t know what to expect but this exceeded all expectations!! I love horror and I was terrified in the best way the whole time. Before you enter the bunker there is a dark walk through the forest surrounded by ominous noises to set the tone of suspense, when you arrive at the bunker it felt spooky as you are waiting in an area to be screened for entry, again the sounds added to the fear! The actual bunker itself had so many rooms and hallways of horror, there were 3 of us and luckily our boy mate didn’t mind being sacrificed to go first into every dark corridor or room as we were too scared to go first. The storytelling of the theme and the performances of the actors/ actresses was outstanding and very believable, especially when you’re 1:1 with them! I would recommend to anyone who loves a bit of Halloween fun and horror to go to the bunker below, a very professional and amazing experience

Unforgettable Fright Night Experience!
I had an absolutely incredible time at The Bunker Below Fright Night tonight (24th October 2025) From start to finish, the atmosphere was electric — creepy music, fog, and jump scares around every corner. The actors were phenomenal and so committed to their roles; every encounter felt real and terrifying in the best way possible!
The themed rooms were brilliantly designed, with just the right mix of suspense, surprise, and pure adrenaline. Even the smaller details, like the lighting and sound effects, added to the immersive experience.
It was the perfect blend of fun and fear — I am
a horror movie girl, and am not one to scare easily, and usually I don’t scare at all at fright nights, I just simply enjoy them. Well tonight was different, I screamed (a lot) right from the start, even my husband got caught out quite a few times, and at one point pushed me forward to save himself from a fright (I won’t divorce him for that… this time) As well as lots of jump Scares I also laughed a lot, mainly at my husband and I running scared!!

Having done many fright nights over the years (including this one 3 times) The Bunker Below just hits differently, for a start the groups are smaller, making the experience way more intense.

If you’re looking for the ultimate Halloween experience, this Fright Night is a must! Here’s why you should go:

Myself and a friend visited The Bunker Below last night for the first time and was hands down one of the scariest of any of these events we have been to! The atmosphere was fantastic and some of the scares were nothing we had experienced before.

We could have gone through as just us 2 but we were way too scared for that so luckily a couple we had met were happy to team up! Something I particularly loved was that we didn’t come across another group at all, I have found that to ruin experiences at other events in the past so this was great!

Definitely visit if you love a good scare!

It was okay. Some scenes felt pointless and the characters got quite sloppy the more we moved on in the game (although it was 9pm by then so they could’ve just been tired). My favourite part was the clown because he made us laugh. I think if he dressed up as Pennywise it would be more scary as opposed to funny‼️

The scene set ups were quite good, but honestly after about 3-4 rooms, it became very predictable. There were a couple of rooms where I really felt they could’ve done more to heighten guest experience (which didn’t involve actors jumping out). Sometimes good visuals, scene planning and a good script goes a long way!

Would I pay £30 to visit next year? No. Did I have a good time because I went with a great bunch of people? Yes.

Went on Halloween night and had the best night!! We like to go and visit lots of scare mazes so we can be quite difficult to scare. Every single actor was absolutely brilliant and this did spook us a bit. The fact its in a old bunker adds so much to it!! The equipment around, the old smell of the place and even the fact its in the middle of a field. All very creepy! The storyline is also really well thought out about the signal.

If you've been to Tulleys farm this is easily on par with there and that place is absolutely incredible!!! A must visit if you like a scare, don't miss out. Way better than Trinity Scares which is a baby to this. Also Better than Fright nights at Thorpe Park

Went there this evening, 31st October.knew it would be quite busy as its halloween but never expected what we dealt with tonight. So got there got a coffee whilst we waited for our time slot to queue and go in(time slot was 8.30-9)
When it was our time we started queuing and waited roughly about 10 minutes in the queue for them to scan our tickets
The actors that were entertaining us all whilst we waited were pretty good. Then once we got to the front where they scanned our tickets, we then got given a leaflet with what to do and what to expect and our group number which was h4, ( there was only me and my husband, so we knew we would be going in with others which wasn't a problem. We then got told to go throufh this tent and they said once your in there's no going back so go toilet etc before you queue to go in. We then stood in this tent for an hour !! Waiting and waiting, there was so many people, it was so hot in there,(thankfully someone told a staff member who then opened the window flaps for a bit of air for us all. So at this point we were thinking it better be worth this wait and that it wasn't organised right. So skip the hour, got to near the front and one staff member see us all still waiting and must have said something to the other staff members at the starting point of the experience as suddenly it moved a little quicker. One staff member shouted is there two people so a couple of girls in front of us said yes and they went forward with this other group(bearing in mind they had the same group number as us so at this point we knew they messed it all up so it was whoever totals 8 out of the people in the line went through. At this point it was 9.25 so it was running 25 minutes late. after this we finally went to the start of the experience. Can't fault the actors as they all played their part well but to us it wasn't enough scare parts and if you were at the back of the group as we were most of the time .the front of the group always got spooked and we missed it every time! We thought oh someone should be coming out from behind us to scare the ones at the back of the group, oh no nothing, so we wasn't happy and were very deflated
To top it off we nearly caught up with tne group ahead and the group behind us kept catching up which ruins the experience for them as they know what's coming. As a whole, very disappointed and not worth the money we paid at all, we will stick to trinity scares in ipswich as that is so much better as they make sure the whole group is involved front and back of the group
Such a shame as it's a massive place and they could do so much more to make it better and be much more organised as it wasn't at all

I visited with my 17 year old son on Sunday night for the first time, as fans of scare nights I would say we are reasonably hard to please. This was without doubt the scariest we have been to! The setting is obviously great for this sort of thing, but more than that it was all really well thought out and executed, we liked having 'The Signal' narrative, the actors were all brilliant especially the butcher, the doctor, the photographer and the clown. Loads of jump scares, lots of great ideas and good memories made. Well done to the organisers, great job and great value for money!

I've never been so scared in my life , I can't stop thinking about how amazing it was , I definitely can't wait to go again next year , it felt so real and my kids won't stop laughing at how I froze with the chainsaw then run and tripped over a log and get back up to run in to another, I wish I had it recorded 😂

Went to this last night 27th October for my others half's birthday. Went with my daughter and her partner. Genuinely the scariest thing I have willingly paid to do. Amazing actors, the whole experience was terrifying but so worth it. So many laughs, screams and moments of utter terror. 10/10 Turns out when scared I will run away but my daughter will abandon everyone she loves to survive. Can't praise this enough!

This event is amazing and very underrated, you get immersed as soon as it starts and the actors keep you engaged from the beginning to the finish. I don't want to give to much away but if you are looking for a scary night out in a scary location then you already know where to book.
Don't let the signal get the better of you though, Don't say I didn't warn you. 🙂

Very educational but slightly depressing subject. Amazing to see how technology has progressed since the end of the cold war. Also amazing to watch the propaganda films and wonder how the UK government could have been so naive ... paint your windows white and you'll survive a nuclear blast! The guy commentating the audio tour is far more realistic and regularly comments that you would have died!

Value for money and worth visiting.

The surgeon...., brilliant game if hide and seek with a clown, the monk who needed help .. there where others I guess i was just terrified and due to epic adrenaline I can't remember everything. I blocked out due to fear overload.
Special shout out to the security team... brilliant and sarcastic... and very funny

Where should I start? Booking tickets for this terrifying attraction will be your best first step because it is in a spectacular location—a former bunker that is buried deep beneath the ground! I won't tell anything more; just go find out for yourself; it's thrilling, never-ending, and will have you screaming, shouting, and running! The actors are outstanding and keep pursuing you for more; I give it five stars! Take spare pants!!! You’ll need them.

Visited 22/10 late .. honestly felt like we were in a horror movie. Actors were amazing and didn’t fall out of character once even with me and my girlfriend screaming and shouting.

Would recommend to anyone who wants a scare, lasts about an hour depending how fast you run 😂.. well done to the entire team who were extremely helpful and friendly

Visited 20/10 as a group of 3. Having visited last year for the first time and really enjoyed it. This year… when they say they’ve upped the scares they mean it. Having done 8 different scare events this season, Bunker Below holds the strongest scares I’ve come across in any attraction for Halloween, not just this year but for multiple years. Genuinely had me leaping and screaming at the top of my voice and I don’t scare easily. We was also just the 3 of us which made it even better. I would happily have done it totally alone too given the chance 😂

I’ve always had an interest in the design side of these sorts of attractions and would love to be involved in one, one day. Bunker Below is such an incredible design and I can imagine talking with the creative team behind it would be absolutely brilliant.

Definitely will be returning next year. An absolute must for the calendar, if you only do one Halloween event this year, this is the one.

enjoyed this immensely. The actors were great fun, the venue itself was very atmospheric. The fact that you spend most of the event bumbling round in the dark without a clue what's coming up or where youre going adds to the anticipation. I dont normally scream at these types of events but this one really got me going, plenty of jump scares, and I even ran as fast as I could away from some of them!! I was actually really happy when we got to the finish lol. I loved every minute of it. If I had to give a critique: what's the point of the pirate ship? Perhaps it was there to regulate the participants. Anyway, I really look forward to going again next year.

Actors and staff were amazing and it was a great location. Very immersive, lots of jump scares. I only give 4 stars as I didn't realise you would be chased and touched which we definitely were. I fell over a stack of chairs as you're running in the dark at one section which was not a good experience the actor even took my shoe that fell off 🙃 it made the whole thing feel more real which was a bit much for me 😬 overall had different scares and scenarios and the actors are very talented. We had a great time

This had such potential with the location but I was disappointed. The story didn’t really make sense? It felt like they tried to include every horror genre into one. A shipwreck? A clown? God and social media? And the war? I really didn’t get it. It was all over the place. The canteen lady act was great! There weren’t many actors and you knew when someone was going to jump out. You didn’t hear the “signal” once. It seemed super low budget, I expected more given the location. Would have been better with a zombie apocalypse theme where you are trying to escape them. Wouldn’t recommend.

Amazing!! The best scare maze I've been to and I've done a fair few! we were lucky enough to win tickets to this event and it didn't disappoint at all. the location is brilliant and so eerie, Inside the bunker is great, it really gave me the creeps. The scares were fantastic, the actors got us real good, my heart was racing the whole way round. Scary but so enjoyable, we had a lot of fun at this event, can't wait for next year!

Loved it. Though not the right word. 😂. Never done this before and only two of us so probably added to the tension. Ideal setting, well thought through story / backdrop. Even though you know it’s not real the Adrenalin is pumping. And the odd bit of humour too. I went last night and my stomach still aches from fear and laughter. Definitely up for going next year.

Brilliant scares and so much fun! We booked for last night and ended up getting sent through as a pair, we were terrified but thought it was a bit short! Turns out we’d gone the wrong way and missed the first half 🙈
The team were fantastic and sent us through again - even though we knew what would happen for some of it we were still terrified and screaming the whole way through - pretty sure they ramped up the scares as payback! Fantastic event and would 100% recommend- we’ll definitely be back next year! 👻

I visited earlier today and I have one word WOW!
I personally always look for the following in a horror maze -
Theming
Jump scares
Atmosphere
Theming - considering this is a real bunker I thought it was themed very well and it wasn’t overdone to take away from the fact we were in a bunker , I thought this was very well done.
Jump scares - now where to begin, all the effects were very well done considering it’s the first year of the event , if I didn’t know I would say you’ve been in the business for years ! I liked it when the lights went out ,the actors turned up and when they would jump out of unexpected places ! I thought the whole experience was excellent and it kept me on guard throughout the whole thing .
Atmosphere - I have to say this was wonderful , it has a wonderful scary vibe/soundtrack throughout and when the track wasn’t heard the theming took over.
Overall - considering this is your first year or the event you’ve come into the scare business all guns blazing! I hoped your event would be good but wow it was better than I expected . I can’t wait to see what you do in the future and hopefully I’m able to come back.
If I was to add anything I would add the option to face it alone and really ramp up the scare factor . I would also allow the actors to touch you during this more intense experience.

my wife and I went to the first evening last night. It was one of the best scare walks we have ever been too. We were greeted at the car park and told where to go. We walked down a path to a tent where we checked in and waited to go in. We were called in by number and given instructions about the event. The rest is for you to find out. At the end they had drinks and cakes for a quick rest. Will definitely be coming back next year

Well if you like a good scare like I do then this is the place to go.. The venue is top notch for a scary time and even though my brain was telling me that the people were actors, my heart was telling me different.
Felt so real and had me screaming at every turn.
Well worth the money and well worth the scare. Not gonna sleep well tonight.
Cannot wait for next year xxx
